Anyone who knows me knows i love industrial music but there has been some pretty horrid mislabeling in the past years.

Really all you need to know is that "Industrial music is a style of experimental music that draws on transgressive and provocative themes. The term was coined in the mid-1970s with the founding of Industrial Records by the band Throbbing Gristle."

Besides Throbbing Gristle there's Coil, Psychic Tv, Cabaret Voltaire, Einstürzende Neubauten, Skinny Puppy, Swans, etc.

Nowadays though, the tag is thrown around a lot to include bands that have no business being labeled that.

No joke, on LastFM Mindless Self Indulgence is tagged this genre. So i wouldn't use that site as an accurate source.

Here's a better one:http://www.darkdb.com/eklein/catind.html

All i'm saying is please label bands correctly.
